Families,

We will kick off our Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) starting May 4th for grades 3rd-5th. It is very important that students are at school and arrive on time each day. If a student misses a testing day, they will be required to test during a makeup day, which may result in missing planned field trips or other activities.

Please talk with your child about the importance of taking their time and doing their best. We know they have worked so hard throughout the year, and we are very proud of them.

Go Bullpups! 🐾❤️

The Hardin County Schools Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council is collecting items to brighten the lives of local homebound residents and those in long-term care facilities.

A collection bin has been placed at each school in the district. Students, staff, families, parents and community members are encouraged to bring items that would help bring a smile to senior citizens. The collection drive will last from April 21 to May 5, 2026. Go to the News and Announcements section of www.hardin.kyschools.us for a list of items and for more information.

Lockdown Lifted

You received a message earlier from me saying that the building was on soft lockdown.

Law enforcement was looking for an individual. They have apprehended the individual. We have lifted our soft lockdown There was no danger to the building, our students, or our staff. We are did this out of an abundance of caution.

We appreciate everyone’s help, patience and support. Dismissal will proceed as usual.

We have been asked by law enforcement to go into a soft lockdown. That means that no one enters or exits the building, but instruction can continue as normal.

Law enforcement is looking for an individual and will notify us when the individual is found. There is no danger to the building, our students, or our staff. We are doing this out of an abundance of caution.

I will notify you again when the soft lockdown is over.

Thank you for your patience and support!
