🌟 We need your help, New Highland families and community! 🌟
This Thursday from 6–8 PM, we’ll be spreading mulch on our playground to make it safer for our students to enjoy.
Bring your gloves, shovels, and wheelbarrows — along with your helping hands! 🙌 Many hands (and tools!) make light work. Your support will make a huge difference for our kids.
Let’s come together to make our playground a place where children can laugh, play, and grow! 🌳✨

Introducing your Lady Bullpups 25-26 New Highland's girls basketball team!!!!

Bullpup Families,
If your child is in grades 3 -5 and would like to be a part of the Bullpup Singers Chorus, he/she can request a packet from their homeroom teacher.
The Bullpup Singers Chorus is an after school chorus that meets once a week on Tuesdays until 3:45.
Packets were passed out during open house by Mrs. Day, as well as the first four days of Mrs. Day’s classes, which covers all of the students in the school. If anyone is a new student since their class attended Mrs. Day’s class or were absent on the day they had Mrs. Day and did not get to get a packet, see your homeroom teacher and they will give you a packet.
We just wanted to share some Back to School 2025-26 sights and sounds with you! It is going to be a great school year! https://youtu.be/6sG0LRIP9L4 #HCSDifferenceMaker
Dear Bullpup Families,
All students have been safely dismissed for the day! 🎒🐾
Thank you for your patience and grace as we worked through first-day logistics. Each day will get smoother, and we truly appreciate your support as we welcomed our Bullpups back.
We are so proud of our students and excited for a great year ahead!
Please watch the video regarding parent pick up through our car rider system.
Remember if you did not register and get a car tag prior to pick up today you will be asked to park and go to the main office.
Last year's tag is not valid for 25-26.

Hello Bullpup Families!
The first day of school is almost here, and we are so excited to welcome our students back! The building is ready, our teachers are prepared, and we can’t wait to see those smiling faces walking through our doors.
Get a good night’s sleep, pack those backpacks, and come ready for a wonderful year of learning, growing, and making memories together.
Let’s make it a fantastic first day! ♥️🐾

Guess what Bullpups?! Tomorrow is the first day of school! We can’t wait to see all of your sweet faces! Here are some reminders for the first two days of school!
🐾 Our doors open at 7:05, students will report to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Breakfast is 7:05-7:27. Students who do not wish to eat breakfast may walk straight to class.
🐶Instruction will begin at 7:30, so students need to be in class and ready to learn at 7:30.
🐾Car Riders - please follow the flow of traffic to the back of the building for student drop off.
🐶For their safety, please wait for staff members before allowing students to exit vehicles.
🐾For tomorrow and Friday only, parents can park and walk their students to the front doors of the school, but you will not be able to enter the building. We will have extra staff on hand to assist all of our Bullpups to breakfast.
🐶 Car tags will be available out front for those families that were unable to pick them up at Open House.
🐾Please allow time for extra traffic the first week of school.
🐶Starting Monday all car riders will need to be dropped off in the designated car rider lines. See the attached image.

Here is some important information that you need to know before the first day of school on August 7, 2025. Find it here: https://bit.ly/hcsbacktoschool2526

All students will have access to free breakfast and free lunch again this school year. However, each family is still required to complete a Household Income Form to maintain accurate data as a requirement for state and federal funding. You can find the form at this link: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application
Free lunches are provided through a program called the Community Elgibility Provision (CEP). The continuation of CEP is dependendent on the number of school meals served. We encourage all students to participate in school lunch and school breakfast as much as possible!
